The Greater Blytheville Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit business membership organization with more than 400 members from throughout the northern Mississippi River Delta. An elected board of directors - 21 altogether - governs the Chamber, while a professional staff, headed by an executive director, handles the day-to-day operations.
The mission of the Chamber is to enhance the business environment and quality of life in the area served. That mission is accomplished through programs centering on education, political advocacy, networking, business-building and community marketing.
The Chamber’s goals and objectives, which are outline in its annual business plan, are carried out through a variety of committees and task forces. Through the work of over 600 volunteers, the Chamber executes a long list of effective programs, including two that have won statewide awards.
Located on West Walnut Street, the Greater Blytheville Area Chamber moved to its beautiful center-of-town location in April 2001. The organization is proud to be a part of Blytheville’s historic downtown, and the building itself is one of the most impressive assets, with art and accessories that reflect the Blytheville region.
